I am a totally self taught artist.I started painting about 8 years ago on & off,until I retired from my job 2 years ago,now I paint all the time.I love to paint flowers,birds,butterflies & all things colorful.I also do landscape & underwater scenes.I usually use acrylics, however I have done some oils.
To me painting is a relaxing & fulfilling past time,the joy & satisfaction I get out of creating something is a feeling I can't describe.
Where ever I am I look at, & study things with the mindset of painting it.I also always carry my camera with me so that I can capture the image & take it from there.
I am also a very avid golfer & now that the weather is getting nice I will be painting less & spend more time on the golf course.
